Are you better off than you were 40 years ago?
Most people who were alive in the 1980s will probably tell you that the answer to that question is no, and as a child of the early 90s myself, I remember a decade that was a much simpler time.
But when we look back on these two decades and the prosperity that came out of them, what really stands out is the leadership and strategic direction of three presidents from 1981 to 2000.
None of whom was more important than Ronald Reagan, whose strong leadership paved the way for our success.
Reagan established a vision of what America and the Republican Party should be and established the foundation of fundamental ideologies and values critical to our country’s success in these times.
However, the Republican Party has gotten away from these and has transformed the party of Reagan into something unrecognizable.
This transformation has left us without many important policy positions and ways of governing that are sorely needed.
In this article, we’ll examine how the ideologies and policy positions of Ronald Reagan helped lead us to success and why our politics and the Republican Party need to embrace them again.
